Broadband Infraco, a long distance national and international optic fibre connectivity network infrastructure provider based at its head office in Sandton, has the following opportunity:
1. SPECIALIST SUPPORT: OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE (2 YEARS FIXED TERM CONTRACT)
Reporting to the Senior Manager: Network Operations and Maintenance, the incumbent will be required to: Engage in the process of managing customer service order delivery, special projects and project manage maintenance projects. Report and ensure that the build installation and service order activations conform to quality standard, specifications and meet customer and departmental timelines Have in depth theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of fibre optic, transmission equipment, DC power system, IP Configuration, alarms monitoring systems with strong analytical and project management skills Take responsibilities for all department reporting as well as to provide support to other departments, especially on Operations and Maintenance service order implementation and drafting inputs in responding to tenders. ` Qualification, Skills and Experience S4/T3/N6 or ND Diploma in Electrical Engineering (LC) or equivalent, Registration with ECSA and Project Management will be an advantage. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Telecommunications industry particularly in Transmission, Equipment, Fibre Optic and Facility Maintenance Methodical, Team player, flexible Quality Conscious, Communication / Interpersonal skills, Persuasive, Deadline driven, Proactive, Responsible and stress tolerant.
