With South African football currently on a break due to the upcoming African Cup of Nations, there is time to dissect some of the stats that have defined the 2016/17 campaign so far.

There are names that are expected to be in the mix when it comes to average tackles won per game, such as Willard Katsande and Edwin Gyimah, however, Katsande only just makes the top 10 and Gyimah doesn’t feature at all when it comes to the best tacklers in SA at present.
